[Class 40 (iv)] , The number of calls made to a line while it is busy is determined by a meter LCM under the joint control of two relays PY, PU which are operated respectively over the test wire and over the fourth wiper of the final selector. The circuit forms a unit which may be associated with any line as required. In the case of a P.B.X. group, the unit is associated with the last line of the group. The circuit is particularly suitable for use with final selectors of the kind described in Specification 451,362. Relay PY is operated by earth on test terminal P1 as long as the line is busy. If the line is the last of a P.B.X. group, battery applied momentarily to terminal P2 by the final selector operates relay PU and steps the meter LCM. If the line is an individual one, the key KO is thrown, and relay PU is operated by a momentary earth connection. The resistance YA prevents the operation in the final selector of the earthed relay which controls hunting.
