Abstract

553,369. Combined mirror and safety razor blade sharpener. WATSON, T. Sept. 15, 1942, No. 12981. [Class 60] [Also in Group XIV] A combined mirror and safety razor blade sharpener comprises a flanged metallic mirror 9, Figs. 7 and 8, adapted to slidably engage with a metallic safety razor blade sharpener 13 having flanges 16 to engage with the flanges 10 of the mirror. A flexible strip 18 which engages within recesses 19 in the sharpener 13 prevents endwise displacement of the mirror 9 relative to the sharpener 13. One or more safety razor blades 20 may be placed between the strip 18 and the sharpener. For shaving purposes one of the flanges 10 of the mirror 9 is slotted to receive a flange 16 of the sharpener 13 as shown in Fig. 1. The sharpener may be provided with a grooved surface. Fig. 9 shows a modification in which the mirror 9 slidably engages grooves in the flanges 16 of the sharpener 13 and has a slot 17 to engage with one of the flanges 16 of the sharpener when the parts are arranged for shaving.
