[Class 86] In machines for breaking down, masticating or mixing rubber &c., which operate under pressure due to a loading or pressure weight, and comprising cooperating closed cylinders and rotor or roller structures, the cylinders a<SP>1</SP>, a<SP>2</SP> and the rotors b<SP>1</SP>, b<SP>2</SP> are formed with spaced grooves, depressions or grooves 1, 4, the loading weight c and discharge door d being also formed with grooves 2 and 3 respectively. The grooves may be equally pitched, or spaced apart in groups, may be longitudinal or broken in length, and may be of V, square, or other cross-section.
