Abstract
547,828. Electrically heated salt baths. ORAM, J. E., and WILD-BARFIELD ELECTRIC FURNACES, Ltd. March 11, 1941, No. 3330. [Class 39 (ili)] The preliminary drying out of an electrically heated salt bath is effected by means of a resistance 6 wound on a refractory core 7 and having terminals 5 which are inserted in clamps 3 in place of the starting electrodes. When the bath is dry, the heater 6 is removed and the starting electrodes inserted, and the latter are finally removed and the main electrodes 1 employed.
