Abstract

545,719. Electric conductors. O'BRIEN, J. F. June 9, 1941, No. 7302. [Class 36] An electric wiring system comprises conductor units 10 and connector units 12, each connector unit 10 comprising a facing plate 14 simulating a moulding, a backing plate 16, and a pair of spaced conductors 22, which may be tubular, arranged in the channel between them, the connector units 12, which may be provided with outlet means, being adapted to register with the units 10. The conductors 22 are electrically connected by pins 32, and may be spaced by insulation 24 and enclosed in a winding 26 of glass fibre or the like. In a modification, Fig. 5, the backing plate 44 has a bead 46 'for attachment to an anchor 48, and margins 52 of rubber or like material are interposed between the facing and backing plates. In other modifications, for use as chair rails or similar installations, the channel-forming member may be in two portions and may slide on tracks formed by inturned margins of the facing plates.
