Abstract

545,309. Boot jacks. WILKINSON, T., and ALLEN, J. H. March 28, 1941, No. 4197. [Class 17 (iii)] A boot jack comprises a pair of substantially triangular shaped blocks 5 hinged together at 7 so that they can be folded to superimpose one on the other when out of use, each block being shaped at 9 so that, when in the position of use, they conjointly form a substantially V-shaped gap 10 to engage the boot heel. Each block is fitted with a short leg 12, which is let flush into a recess 13 of a sufficiently greater width than the leg to receive the leg of the other block when the jack is folded.
