Abstract

543,835. Sintering ores &c. STEWARTS & LLOYDS, Ltd., and HENDRY, D. C. Oct. 21, 1941, No. 13533. [Class 82 (i)] Ore and like sintering apparatus comprises a circuitous track having parallel positions arranged in a horizontal plane. In the form shown two series of pans a move on parallel tracks, each series being provided with a charging point d, igniter e and discharger g, the mixture to be treated being supplied to both series from a point b. After discharge each pan is moved to the beginning of the opposite series, each series being moved forward intermittently by a pusher h. In modifications, the charging, discharging, and igniting may occur at only one or at more than two points; and the ends of two parallel tracks may be connected by semi-circular tracks.
