Abstract

543,818. Windscreen wipers. TRICO PRODUCTS CORPORATION. March 17, 1941, No. 3639. Convention date, April 6, 1940. [Class 138 (i)] One side of the edge of a windscreen wiper is roughened to scrub the surface while the other side is smooth to form a lapping face. As shown, the wiper 8, having a rough side 16 and a smooth side 17 is doubled over a core 9 by the holder 7 the edges 13 of which are flared to match the wedgelike core. The wiper may consist of a woven fabric or wire mesh to provide the rough surface and a backing of rubber, or the edges of the wiper may be moulded with roughened surfaces on one side.
