Abstract

542,351. Armouring vehicles. MATHEWS, C. B., and AMBROSE, J. G. June 13, 1940, No. 10284. [Class 92 (i)] A mobile fort comprises a ported concrete protecting structure applied to or erected on the chassis or body of a normal road vehicle so as to be independent of the vehicle structure. As shown in Fig. 1 there may be two separate parts, one at the rear for the crew and the other for protecting the driver and engine.
