540,723. Moulding concrete walls in situ. ADRIA SOC. ANON. June 23, 1939, No. 18391. Convention date, April 21. [Class 20 (ii)] A spacing device for shutters for use in casting concrete wall in situ, comprises a flat bar 1 perforated with staggered rows 2 of apertures at its ends, and sliding plates 4 with slotted extensions or brackets to form abutments for fixing wedges 5, the bar being surrounded by a precast concrete sleeve 12 disposed between the shutters. Ranges of adjustment are given by passing the wedges either through or outside these extensions. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also removable metal fittings 13 fitted at the ends of the sleeve, so that after the wall is set, these may be removed and the spaces filled with concrete. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
