[Class 96] Asbestos-cement sheets, pipes &c. are made by uniformly and continuously mixing dry materials and adding water, so that the ratio of water to dry material does not exceed 20 to 3, the mixture being uniformly applied with or without more water as a layer to a conveyer web so that the time interval between wetting the cement and forming the layer is substantially constant, e.g. 10 to 15 minutes. The apparatus may be as disclosed in Specification 542,926 or the wet mixture delivered to cylinder machines. Specification 540,463 also is referred to.
