538,540. Lock-nuts. TINNERMAN PRODUCTS Inc. May 13, 1940, No. 8580. Convention date, Oct. 21, 1939. [Class 89 (i)] Lock-nuts, for use with screws to act as adjustable stops, e.g. in a carburetter control or for adjusting parts, e.g. the reflectors of automobile lamps or the cores of electrical coils, are made from spring steel bent to provide parallel arms 22, 23 adapted to clip on to a supporting part 8 having a slot 9 to pass the screw, each arm having thread engaging elements 24, 25 extending from it. When the nut is forced over the support the elements are forced into locking engagement with the threads. The elements may vary in form.
