537,597. Electric bedwarmers. BELLING & CO., Ltd., BELLING, C. R., and HIBBERD, H. M. May 27, 1940, No. 9297. [Class 39 (iii)] A casing of flattened oval shape is formed of two dished sheet-metal elements a, b. The element b carries a bracket c with a rubber sleeve d passing through the wall to receive the wires e by which current is supplied to a lamp f. The lamp holder g is carried by a rectangular open-sided fitting h hinged to the bracket c so that the lamp falls towards the lower side of the casing whichever side is lowest. The lamp is arranged between two discs i, k of sheet metal carried by arms l extending from the fitting h. A coloured transparent disc n may be provided to indicate which side should be uppermost. A member o having a felt pad r may be provided to limit the movement of the bracket in one direction, and the disc k may be provided with a similar stop s. A handle t is of strip metal so shaped that the supply wire may be wound upon it. Ribs u or guard wires may be provided to keep bed clothing clear of the casing.
