Abstract

537,536. Refrigerating. ELECTROLUX, Ltd. March 28, 1940, No. 5604. Convention date, June 21, 1939. Addition to 537,507. [Class 297 Absorption systems. The conduit 19 conveying rich gas mixture from the,gas heat exchanger 18 to the absorber and surrounded in part by a jacket 28 conveying warm weak gas from the absorber, as set forth in the parent Specification, is made discontinuous within the jacket in order that condensation of solution vapour precipitated in the jacket, as well as any liquid from the heat exchanger, may overflow into the lower part 19a of the conduit 19. The upper part of the conduit has a widened mouth embracing the lower conduit to form a liquid trap at the bottom of the jacket to separate the gas streams.
