Abstract

537,305. Charging kilns. &c. POWER-GAS CORPORATION, Ltd., GRISENTHWAITE, A. T., and CRUSE, G. H. I Jan. 26, 1940, No. 1577. [Class 51 (ii)] A device for distributing charges fed to kilns, gas producers and the like comprises a number of separate shoots 1 extending downwardly from a conical plate 2 and surrounding a central opening 3 which may be provided with a shoot 4. The distributing device is attached to a cylindrical member 5 suspended by rods 6 by which its position may be adjusted relatively to the top of the kiln or producer 7. The shoots may be provided with outlets preferably hooded, so that gas from immediately below the shoots may pass to the gas outlet.
