[Class 60] [Also in Group XXII] A precision grinding machine has the tailstock centre 6 carried on a member 5 supported solely by laminated springs 7, 7a which are anchored to parallel rods 3, 4 and which yield only in a direction axial of the centre. The centre may be withdrawn by a yoke lever 8a.
