533,730. Tube protectors for cycles. MICHEL, E. Nov. 17, 1939, No. 30264. Convention date, Nov. 20, 1938. [Class 136 (iii)] A tube protector for ladies' bicycles comprises parts 6, 7 of sheet-metal or other flexible material, and of part-cylindrical form so as to fit over the lower frame tube 3 and the saddle tube 2, the protector parts being provided with transverse slits 8 so that they can be bent to conform to the curvature of the tubes. The parts 6, 7 may be separate, or may be formed in one piece with a wide angular slit between the two parts, so that they can be bent relatively to one another to fit the angle between the tubes 2, 3. The protector may be made of aluminium with a textile lining. The protector may be held in position by bands or spring clamps &c.
