Abstract
529,987. Endless-chain conveyers. DANIELSSON, P., and AKTIEBOLAGET G. AREHNS MEKANISKA VERKSTAD. May 30, 1939, No. 15936. [Class 78 (i)] A fish dressing machine for cutting off the heads and also if desired slitting the fish and comprising a conveyer with pockets for the fish received from a feed drum with pockets to which the fish are fed has the rear edge or wall of the conveyer pockets. on a delivery edge of a supporting plate at the receiving position, directed obliquely to the pockets of the feed drum to tilt the fish head or tail end first into the conveyer pockets. The fish are fed manually into pockets on a rotating drum 9. Fig. 1, which in conjunction with a supporting plate 11 delivers to pockets constituted by inclined partitions 8 on plates 4 linked together to form a conveyer, the fish tilting over the inclined edge of the partitions into the pockets and being carried past a cutter 3 for cutting off the heads. A fixed brush 13 causes the fish to bear against the inclined partitions. Other means for ensuring correct positioning of the fish in the conveyer pockets comprise variation of the relativity speed of the feed drum and extension and shaping of the lower end of the supporting plate 11. Fig. 8 shows a conveyer 1 provided with trays 15 which receive fish belly upwards from the feed drum 9 and convey them past a slitting cutter 16 and, if desired, cleaning devices.
