Other means for ensuring correct positioning of the fish in the conveyer pockets comprise variation of the relativity speed of the feed drum and extension and shaping of the lower end of the supporting plate 11. Fig. 8 shows a conveyer 1 provided with trays 15 which receive fish belly upwards from the feed drum 9 and convey them past a slitting cutter 16 and, if desired, cleaning devices.
