Abstract

[Class 7 (iv)] To reduce sparking-point erosion in a lowtension system, current from an alternator A in which the voltage increases at a rate less than in direct proportion to its speed charges a condenser C. The interrupter B<1> breaks the charging circuit; on closure of contacts B<2> discharge occurs through a low-tension distributer to the primary winding P of one of a set of coils T. Each secondary winding S is connected to, and closely associated with, a sparking plug SP. Specification 517,543, [Group XXXV], is referred to.
