Abstract
529,257. Moulding articles of electrical equipment &c. GOTTLIEB, L. May 25,1939, No. 15569. [Class 87 (ii)] In the production of moulded articles having incorporated therein one or more inserts 11 in the form of open-ended tubular elements, prior to the moulding process a disc 12 of cardboard, paper &c. is applied to each element, preferably to its inner end, so as to prevent the passage of plastic material into its interior during the moulding process. The process applies particularly to articles having internally threaded inserts and electrical adaptors, plugs and fuse boxes are specified. The discs may be wetted so as to adhere to the inserts. Pins 13 carried by the moulding tool 14 support the inserts during the process.
