[Class 145 (ii)] In a method of normalizing hot pressed plywood in which the panels, while still in a heated condition from the hot pressing operation, are brought into a humid, heated atmosphere in which they absorb an appreciable amount of moisture, the panels are cooled before removing them from the humid atmosphere to such a temperature and at such a slow rate that checks or blisters do not form. The time that the panels must remain in the kiln depends upon the number of plies and the thickness. Examples of temperature, moisture content &c. are given.
