[Class 97 (i)] A magazine of the kind comprising an elongated casing 10 in which the take-up roll 21 is mounted behind the supply roll 19, and in which the film moves across an exposure aperture 22 in the front wall behind which is a supporting gate member, is provided with a member comprising a fixed portion 30 forming, with the bottom wall 14 of the magazine, a guideway to conduct the film F from the gate and past the supply roll 19, and a resilient portion 33 which carries a member 36 pressing on the supply roll to prevent premature uncoiling of the film. 'Tension is imparted to the film by a device comprising in one form a resilient body part 42 mounted on the rear wall 15 and a lateral flange 44 carrying a curved film-engaging member 45; and in another form a bracket mounted on the rear wall 15 and having a film-engaging member hinged thereto and urged towards the rear wall by a spring at the hinge. Even winding of the film on the take-up roll is ensured by a member 38 hinged to the top wall 12 and having film engaging margins 40 and lateral fins 41. The film gate comprises a back support 23, Fig. 3, having a recess 24 within which moves a pressure pad 25 urged towards the aperture 22 by a spring 26, lateral movement of the film being prevented by a guide 27.
