Abstract
522,749. Grinding. RAWLINGS, G. W. Dec. 15, 1938, No. 36524. Addition to 504,800, [Group XXXV] [Class 60] [Also in Groups- XXXV and XXII] In an armature or like core as described in the parent Specification the tips of the poles are supported during grinding. For this purpose the bobbin carrying the winding may be formed with projections f<SP>1</SP> on which the tips of the poles rest. The poles may be resilient and press on the projections f<SP>1</SP>, and if the bobbin is of thermoplastic material, the heat developed in grinding may cause them to bed in it.
