521,302. Turning collar and cuff blanks insideout. JONES, G. E. Nov. 14, 1938, No. 33049. [Class 112] A partly-formed collar or cuff blank 'is passed upwards over two pegs 3 spaced apart so as to enter the corners of the blank. Pegs 5 are raised by a treadle to grip the corners against the pegs 3. Former plates 13 are tilted towards the pegs and the blank is stripped downwards over the plates 13 and pegs 5. The pegs 5 are removed and the former plates separated longitudinally to stretch the blank. The plates are then turned to carry the blank on to a heated bed 24 where it is pressed by a presser plate operated by a treadle. The spacings of the plates and the pegs are adjustable. The tips 6 of the pegs 3 may be yieldingly supported. The pegs 5 may be omitted, their function then being performed by the tips of the former plates.
