[Class 37] The movements of station selecting keys or their equivalents are transmitted to a tuning condenser through a spring. The shaft 1 of the condenser 2 is urged in one direction by spring 15 and rotated in the other direction by pinion 3 and sector 4 under the influence of spring 8 when the member 6, which is free upon the shaft 5, is depressed to a determined amount by one of the buttons 7. Movement of the condenser is damped by the dashpot 13, and continues until the stop 9 comes into contact with the member 6. Due to the presence of this stop and a preliminary tension in the spring 8, the correct position of the condenser, dependent upon the position of the keys 7, is assured. The application of the invention to a three-section gang condenser of the slidableelectrode form is also described, Fig. 2 (not shown).
