520,862. Producing detachable wax coatings. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and BENJAMIN, M. Nov. 2, 1938, No. 31730. [Class 87 (ii)] [Also in Group XL] Metal bodies such as thermionic cathodes, or wires forming the cores to which plastic material is applied to form thin refractory tubes, are wetted with ethyl or methyl alcohol or acetone and are then dipped in molten paraffin wax to form a detachable coating. The coating can be applied to the parts of cathodes made by the method described in Specification 514,849, [Group XXXVI], to which the alkaline earth carbonates are not to be applied. Specification 520,861, [Group XL], also is referred to.
