Abstract
518,890. Electric control systems. COLE, Ltd., E. K., and HERCZEG, A. Sept. 7, 1938, No. 26108.' [Class 40 (i)] A radio receiver is associated with a switch which is normally continuously operated to connect up in sequence a number: of tuned circuits, the switch being arrested on a tuned circuit when a signal of corresponding frequency is transmitted from a distant control point over the supply mains The switch selectively operates a tuner of the press-button motor-controlled type and switches on the receiver. The control transmitter, Fig. 1, comprises a valve oscillator V1 the frequency of which is determined by coupled coils and tuner circuits L1, LC1 ... L9, LC9 selectively connected to the anode and grid circuits by switch X which also at X1 completes the energizing circuits of the valve. The receiver R, Fig. 2, is associated with an anode bend detector V2 having tuned circuits LCl ... LC9 in its input circuit corresponding to those at the control transmitter and connected up in succession by a switch S1 operated by a motor P which is normally running continuously. Other banks S2, S3 of the switch complete the filament circuit of valve V2 and circuits in parallel with the ordinary push buttons for controlling a motor driving the tuning device. When switch S1 arrives at the tuned circuit corresponding to the circuit selected at the transmitter, anode current operates R1 which stops the motor and switches on the receiver R and at the same time S3 starts the receiver pushbutton tuning arrangements.
