Abstract

517,169. Lamp-holders. WALSALL CONDUITS, Ltd., and COURT, R. A. B. July 20, 1938, No. 21495. [Class 38 (i)] A flame-proof lamp construction comprises a body 5 that may be of metal and has a partition 6 across it forming recesses 8, 8a at its ends in one of which 8 the spring plungers 18 for the lamp 9 are arranged, rods 16, that carry the plungers, extending through holes 7 in the partition and terminals 17 on the rods being located in the other recess 8a and enclosed by a cover 24 with a cable inlet 36. The rods and terminals are insulated by moulded-on casings, or by bushes 15 in the holes 7, discs 19 at each side of the partition, and cups 23 surrounding the terminals. The bayonet socket 10 of the holder is flanged and secured by a ring 13 and screws 14 and a cover glass 30 is attached by a ring 29 with a cemented joint 32.
