513,503. Dog - racing apparatus. BEATTIE, J, W. April 12, 1938, No. 11156. [Class 132 (i)] In dog-racing apparatus the hare is carried by a trolley 1 which is guided by upper and lower rails 19 and 20, the trolley -being provided with rollers 7, 8, 9 and 10 engaging adjacent surfaces of the rails while another set of rollers 16 and 17 engage the sides of the rails. The rails may be of sound-deadening material such as wood. The rails are supported by brackets B which are provided with pulleys to guide the haulage rope of the trolley at curves. The starting traps 41 are opened by electromagnetic means under the control of trolley operated contacts on a block 25 mounted on two of the brackets B.
