[Class 97 (i)] A lens to be placed in front of a photographic objective tc produce a soft-focus effect has one surface D spherical and the other surface divided intc zones A, B, C, of which the intermediate zone A is spherical and concentric with the surface D, while the axial zone C is less strongly and the peripheral zone B is more strongly curved than the zone A, or vice versa.
