Abstract

507,151. Colour photography. GASPAR, B. Dec. 9, 1937, No. 34080. [Class 98 (ii)] Multilayer material comprises several differently sensitized silver halide emulsion layers, at least one of which contain an image-forming dyestuff which can be locally bleached by a silver image, and at least one other layer arranged behind said coloured layer contains a filter dye of the same colour which is destroyable by a photographic developer. In the example, a paper support carries in superposition a blue-green layer, a magenta layer and a yellow layer sensitized to red, green and blue respectively. The top layer contains the yellow dye Xylenewalkgelb G, the next layer contains Tuchechtbrillantrot 2B and an auxiliary yellow dyestuff 4.4<1> methenyl bis [1- (p-sulphophenyl)-3-methyl-pyrazolone 5], and the third layer contains the dyestuff Pontamine Sky Blue 5BX. and in addition either the dyestuff from 1-(p-sulphophenyl)-3-methylpyrazolone-5 and #-anilino-acroleine-anil or the sulphonic acid derived from methonyl-bisoxythionaphthene. The material may be exposed behind coloured or black and white positive part images or behind a multicolour master positive, the auxiliary filter dycstuff decolorized by using a developer of alkaline reaction, and the image forming dyestuffs destroyed at the image points by acid thiocarbamide solution or 5 per cent hydrobromic acid.
