Abstract
506,235. Kinematograph-apparatus. GEVAERT PHOTO-PRODUCTEN N. V. July 13, 1938, No. 20761. Convention date, Aug. 27, 1937. [Class 97 (i)] Film holders, each comprising a single chamber, have projecting connecting elements on a section of a peripheral wall and a like number of recessed con necting elements thereon, the elements being so positioned that two film holders may be connected together with the axes of the centring sleeves for the coiled film spaced apart and parallel. As shown in the Figure, a single-chamber film holder c, having a centring sleeve a and a film slot b, is provided on one face of the peripheral wall with pins e, e<1> symmetrically arranged, with respect t6 a plane perpendicular to the axis of the sleeve a and containing the horizontal centre line of the face, with sleeves or sockets g, g<1> capable of being engaged by such pins. The film holder may be connected to another similar holder by inverting one of them and bringing the pins and sockets into engagement. In one modification, a dovetailed slot and a dovetailed rib are provided in positions symmetrical about the plane through the horizontal centre line, and, in another modification, pins and sookets are respectively provided in positions symmetrical about a plane containing the axis of the sleeve and the vertical centre line of the face, the covers of the holders being similarly directed when the holders are connected.
