Abstract
505,433. Preventing condensation on windscreens. GOLDSCHMIDT, R. Nov. 5, 1937, Nos. 30436/37, 22088/38, and 35445 /38. Divided application. -Drawings to Specification. [Class 20 (iii)] [Also in Group XXXIII] An aircraft windscreen is stated to be deiced by means which cause elastic deformation of its surface. The means are described as applied to the skin of the aircraft and may be hydraulic, pneumatic or electromagnetic. In one form, a number of electromagnets are fixed to the skin and are periodically excited to attract armatures and cause impacts to be transmitted to the skin.
