Abstract
502,195. Books &c. DANVERS, V. L. D. Oct. 21, 1937, No. 28746. [Class 16] A children's book or booklet comprising printed matter in the form of a story, instructions, or information, has incorporated therewith in a fixed but detachable manner a sheet or strip of pieces of paper &c. each bearing a pictorial illustration or reading matter, or both, and provided with adhesive whereby each piece may be adhered to a separate sheet or to a page in the book in such a manner as to illustrate &c. the story &c. As shown, a booklet consisting of two sheets 19, 20 has printed thereon a story &c. at 21, and rectangular spaces 22 are interspersed with the printed characters. Stamps 23 in strip form and delineated from each other by perforations are secured to the sheets 19, 20 by gumming the top edge of the strip thereto. The stamps bear illustrations relating to the story, and are to be detached and gummed to the sheets in the spaces 22. In modifications, the stamps are part of a sheet of the booklet, and may either be gummed to a blank or ruled sheet of the booklet or to a separate loose sheet.
