Abstract

500,520. Goggles. DEHN, F. B. (Foster Grant Co., Inc.) May 20, 1938, No. 15156. [Class 97 (i)] A glare shield for use with eyeglasses includes a wire frame 17 which can be connected to the eyeglasses and a pair of shields 13, each of the shields 13 having a split lug 15 which grips a portion 19 of the frame 17 so that the shields may be swung into various positions in which they will be frictionally maintained. The wire frame 17 has bent portions 22 and 23 which may be sprung over the rims of the eyeglasses to which the shield is to be attached. The shields 13 consist of portions of coloured glass with rims which may be of a plastic composition such as cellulose acetate.
