Abstract

499,457. Capsuling-machines. JENSEN, P. V. July 29, 1938, No. 22608. [Class 125 (ii)] In a hydraulic capsuling-machine comprising a flexible sleeve surrounded by a liquid chamber, reducing members are provided which fit into the sleeve and are shaped according to the type of bottle being capsuled. The reducing member may be rigid and act as a protector to parts of the capsule, as at 9, Fig. 4, or it may be flexible and serve to accommodate narrow-necked bottles, as at 12, Fig. 3. The reducing members may be conveniently held in position by a screw 5 in the bottom thereof.
