498,443. Buffing or polishing discs. IBBERSON, J. W., and IBBERSON, W. G., (trading as IBBERSON & CO., G.), CORDWENT, G. H. A., and GREEN, H. Feb. 22, 1938, No. 5503. [Class 60] A buffing or polishing disc comprises layers of woven material assembled side by side in staggered relation, each layer comprising a single integral piece 2 having those portions removed which contain strands of warp or weft running in directions tangential to the periphery of the disc. The pieces may be of cruciform shape as shown in Fig. 1, or may be of diametral strip form as shown in Fig. 3. The disc may have a leather centre pierced to receive a tapered spindle, or may be clamped between a pair of discs.
