Abstract
Artificial teeth, especially of ceramic material, are coloured by means of uranium compounds in conjunction with red colouring matters such as gold oxide, chrome-alumina, copper aluminate or manganese oxide, the object being to simulate the appearance of natural teeth irrespective of the mode of illumination. With a ceramic material comprising 75 per cent felspar, 15 per cent quartz and 10 per cent kaolin, a colouring material consisting of 0,5 per cent uranium phosphate and 0,6 per cent of a red colouring agent is suitable.ALSO:Artificial teeth especially when formed of ceramic material are coloured by means of uranium compounds in conjunction with red colouring matters such as gold oxide, chrome-alumina, copper aluminate or manganese oxide with the object of simulating the appearance of natural teeth irrespective of the mode of illumination. With a ceramic material comprising 75 per cent felspar, 15 per cent quartz and 10 per cent kaolin a colouring material consisting of 0,5 per cent uranium phosphate and 0,6 per cent of a red colouring agent is suitable.
