[Class 69 (iii)] [Also in Groups V, II, and XXX] An atomizing device for bitumen, Figs. 3 and 4, comprises a casting 63 with bitumen and air inlets 11 and 18. The hollow nozzle member 65 which may be adjusted by flange 69 carries the adjustable nozzle needle 78 and a disc 77 with slits 76 to give a whirling motion. Grooves 73 in the member 67 give a whirling motion to the air entering from 18 and 74.
