494,993. Extruding ice-cream. GOTHE, H. Nov. 4, 1937, No. 30306. [Class 87 (ii)] [Also in Group VI] An apparatus for extruding ice-cream, in the form of an inner core enclosed by an outer layer, comprises a number of separate cylinders 2, 3, 4 from which the ice-cream is extruded by pistons through mouthpieces on the cylinders, the mouthpiece or mouthpieces 7, 8 for forming the outer layer extending a short distance beyond the mouthpiece 6, for forming the inner core, which has the outline of a natural object, e.g. an animal or flower. All the mouthpieces taper gradually and have no constrictions lying in the path of flow of the ice-cream. The inner mouthpiece 6 is interchangeable. The lower parts of the mouthpieces are preferably lined with heat insulating material and the mouthpieces may be provided with heating-means.
