[Class 17 (ii)] A combined heel and waist support for footwear comprises an angle-shaped member one arm 1 of which extends a substantial distance along the waist and has attaching spikes 5 cut from the longitudinal edges of the arm and turned upwards about an axis lying transversely of the support. One or two spikes may be provided on each side. A spike 4 may be provided at the forward end of the arm 1.
