Abstract
492,050. Beadings for upholstery &c. BROOKE, A. April 1, 1938, No. 9252. [Class 141] Beadings, mouldings, and like finishings for upholstery and other purposes are formed of two or more materials a, b, Fig. 1, of different colours, textures, or patterns applied to cores e, f, with their free marginal edges c<1>, d<1>, and d<1>, d<2>, overlapping one another and cemented back to back, i.e. with their unfaced surfaces in contact with each other. A separate reinforcing strip of fabric may be introduced between the overlapping edges c<1>, d<1>, and d<1>, d<2>. In a modification, Fig. 3, a unitary three effect construction is shown in which three different coverings c, d, h, are employed with unfaced surfaces c<1>, d', h' overlapping and cemented together.
