[Class 97 (i)] The Specification appears to comprise a method of projecting two stereoscopic pictures on to a screen before which is placed a grating so that suitably placed observers see only the " left hand " image with the left eye and the " right hand " image with the right eye. Fig. 1 shows an attachment to permit images to be projected or taken with standard apparatus. The attachment comprises a board 5 bearing vertical mirrors 1, 2, 3, 4, the mirrors 1, 4 being carried on plates 8 sliding in guides 10 under the control of screw 11, and being rotatable about horizontal axes 24 by screws 25. The mirrors 2, 3 may be moved about vertical pivots 18 by a screw 19. The objective O projects two stereoscopic images side by side, one image being projected to the screen via mirrors 2, 1 and the other image via the mirrors 3, 4 so that they appear to be projected from points 14, 15, of which the distance apart may be varied. The screen 28, Fig. 3, is mounted in a frame 29 bearing a series of vertical black threads 27 wound on cylinders 30, 31. The threads may be of metal or rubber wire or may comprise of plate having openings or a glass plate with opaque lines. If the screen is translucent a second grating is placed on the other side and the spectators and the projector are installed on both side of the screen." Various modifications of the mirror systems are described and it is stated that a horizontally moving film bearing images one above the other may be used. Instead of two opaque gratings, one on either side of a translucent screen, two lenticular screens may be placed, one on either side of the screen, the projector and the spectators being on opposite sides.
