487,954. Making barbed wire. ABBOTT, H. A. Jan. 12, 1937, No. 968. Convention date, April 1, 1936. [Class 83 (ii)] [Also in Group I] Barbed wire for fencing comprises a main wire A to which are welded in groups a series of short wires B, Fig. 3, provided with a recess B<1> to facilitate welding, each group presenting three or more points. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the short wires are welded to each other as well as to the main wire in star formation. In another form, Fig. 4, groups J are formed by spaced short wires.
