486,689. Globe holders. DENNES, N., and METROPOLITAN-VICKERS ELECTRICAL CO., Ltd. March 15, 1937, No. 7569. [Class 75 (ii)] In a globe holder in which the edge of an aperture in the globe 6 is sand wiched between a spider or other non circular member 5 on a vertical stem 1 and a cover member 8 which is urged towards the spider by means of a nut 12 engaging a screwthreaded collar 13 fixed to the stem 1, the nut 12 is carried by a tube 10 secured at 9 to the cover 8 and enclosing a spring 14 by which, when the nut 12 is unscrewed, the cover 8 is raised and held in position above the spider 5.
