Abstract

485,483. Electric hair-waving. GILLESPIE, P. Dec. 5, 1936, Nos. 33388/36 and 10471/37. [Class 39 (iii)] In permanent waving apparatus wherein a number of electric heaters 5 are suspended from a head 1 pivoted on a telescopic pedestal 2, 6, the pedestal part 6 is fitted with a switchboard 7 having separate switches 8 and fuses for each of the supply sockets 3. The electric leads may either be continuous, in which case the degree of rotation of the head 1 is limited by abutments, or they may be interrupted at the top of the pedestal, sliding contacts being provided.
