Abstract

485,085. Book-supports. WHITING, O. K. Oct. 10, 1936, No. 27537. [Class 16] [Also in Group XIV] Books are secured to rigid backing members 1 by means of a plurality of wires 15, Fig. 4, the backing members being pivoted intermediate their ends on a transverse rod 7 on a supporting structure 4 so that the books can swing into and out of a recess for storage or use, the extreme positions being limited by abutments. The backing member 1 has side cover members 2 and the ends of the wires 15 slide through holes in a bail 14 and are detachably secured at the other end by a rotatable hook 16a. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 283,515, [Class 52 (i)].
