Abstract

483,851. Wire fabrics. SPECHT, H. G., and EASTWOOD-NEALLEY CORPORATION. Nov. 18, 1936, No. 31578. [Class 142 (iv)] A Fourdrinier wire belt comprises main warp wires 10, interwoven with weft wires 11 in a plain weave, and conforming warp wires 12 which differ from the wires 10, and may be of greater strength, hardness &c. Moreover the wires 12 interweave with the weft in a different manner to the main wires 50, whereby elongation of the cloth in the warp direction is equalized. Brass weft wires 50 to the inch and warp wires 60 to the inch may be used, the main warp wires being of bronze and the others of stainless steel, and all the wires being À01" in diameter. Reference is also made to the use of brass for the wires 10 and to bronze and the metal known by the Registered Trade Mark " Monel " for the wires 12.
