Abstract

480,491. Discharge apparatus. JACOBSEN, E. March 17, 1937, No. 7812. [Class 39 (i)] An electric discharge tube provided with two electrodes has a control member adapted to move into .the space between the electrodes whereupon the discharge is extinguished, the .control member being actuated by a moving coil instrument fitted within the tube. The discharge may pass between cold electrodes b, c, being extinguished by an insulating disc g, movable therebetween and carried by the pointer f of the moving coil instrument d. Alternatively, a hot cathode tube may be used.
