476,986. Ice - cream &c. freezers. KONIG, J. W. F. M., and SCHIEDAMSCHE WERKTUIGENEN MASCHINEFABRIEK ZUIVELWERKTUIGEN EN KOELTECHNIEK N.V. March 25, 1937, No. 8865. Convention date, Feb. 27. [Class 29] A process of making ice-cream &c. consists in pre-cooling the cream to a temperature of from - 3 to - 5‹ C. in a container from which it is transferred to, and conveyed through a freezing vessel cooled to from - 8 to - 25‹ C. The cream is, e.g., fed into a pre -cooling cylinder 1 containing a rotary agitating and feeding device and thence transferred through a port 7, provided, if desired, with a regulator 8, into a freezing cylinder 4 through which it is conveyed by a worm to an outlet 10. The cylinders are each provided with jackets through which cooling fluid is circulated. The freezing cylinder may be mounted within the pre-cooling- cylinder.
